William H. (Bill) Smith – President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Smith is a professional engineer with over 35 years of oil and gas exploration and evaluation experience, largely focused on international projects. From 2000 to 2008 Mr. Smith was with AEC International Inc. and later Encana Corporation (“Encana”), where as VP France he was responsible for Encana's unconventional gas evaluation of Europe and its Foix project in the Aquitaine Basin of France. Mr. Smith has also held positions with Transworld Oil/Oman Oil, Forcenergy, and Anschutz Petroleum. Most recently, Mr. Smith was the principal of W H Smith International Consultants, whose main clients were Canacol Energy Ltd. and Sprott Resource Corp. Mr. Smith has a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Geophysical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Mineral Economics.

Dean Callaway – CFO

Mr. Callaway is the Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) of Gallic Energy Ltd. Prior to Gallic Energy, Mr. Callaway was the CFO of TG World Energy Corp, a TSXV company with international oil and gas operations in Alaska, the Philippines and Niger, Africa. From 2006 to June 2009, Mr. Callaway was the CFO of Thailand Resource & Exploration International a private international oil and gas company and prior to this he consulted in different financial capacities in the international oil and gas sector. Mr. Callaway’s experience also includes leading the mergers and acquisition group at Terasen Pipelines, corporate finance at Enbridge Inc. and TransAlta Corporation and investment banking with Merrill Lynch. Mr. Callaway is a Certified General Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University and an MBA from Nijenrode University in the Netherlands.

Mark Armanious, P. Geol. – Executive Vice-President, Exploration

Mr. Armanious is a professional geologist with more than 25 years of diverse exploration, exploitation and business development experience, both domestically and internationally. Most recently he was a Senior Geological Specialist at Sproule International. Previously he was Acquisitions and Divestitures Geosciences Manager at Paramount Energy Trust. Prior to joining Paramount he was Chief Geologist for Centurion Energy International Inc., a Middle East gas focused company. Additional experience included Vice President Exploration for High Point Resources Inc. He is a member of APEGGA, CSPG, PESGB and AAPG. Mr. Armanious holds a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from the University of Calgary.

Eric Messier, P. Eng. – Vice-President, Operations

Mr. Eric Messier is a professional engineer with over 14 years of construction and drilling experience. Mr. Messier started his career with PanCanadian Petroleum where he was exposed to large heavy oil slant pads and shallow gas drilling. He then joined Anderson Exploration to manage their British Columbia drilling operations including their underbalance horizontal wells program. When Devon Energy acquired the Anderson assets, Mr. Messier gained valuable on-shore and off-shore field experience in the Gulf of Mexico, Yukon, Northwest Territories and the Beaufort Sea. Before joining Gallic, he lived France for 3 years where he worked as Operations Superintendent for EnCana Corporation. Mr. Messier is a member of the APEGGA, OIQ and SPE. He is bilingual and holds a mechanical engineering degree from McGill University.

John Kiss – Vice-President, Engineering and Business Development

Mr. Kiss is a Professional Engineer with over 19 years of reservoir engineering, operations, business development and petroleum finance experience. Mr. Kiss started his career with Ballistic Energy where he was a business development engineer and production engineer. He has also worked at Griffiths McBurney, Sprott Securities, Talisman Energy and High Point Resources. Before joining Gallic, he was Team Lead for Galleon Energy’s Kakut Business Unit.

Mr. Kiss is a member of the APEGGA and SPE. He is trilingual and holds a petroleum engineering degree from the University of Alberta and an MBA from the European University, Antwerp, Belgium.

Oleh Stupnyckyj – Vice-President, Geosciences

Mr. Stupnyckyj is a Professional Geologist with 30 years of geophysical interpretation experience. Mr. Stupnyckyj started his career with Hudson’s Bay Oil & Gas as an exploration geophysicist. He has subsequently worked for Mobil, Canadian Forest and HighPoint Resources, on projects in various parts of Canada and the USA as well as on international projects.

Prior to joining Gallic, he was Senior Geophysicist for Direct Energy. Mr. Stupnyckyj is a member of APEGGA, CSEG, CSPG and SEB. He is bilingual and holds an Applied Science (Geological Engineering) from the University of Windsor.
